Verplichte identificatie en registratie (I&R) voor honden
In Nederland geldt sinds 1 april 2013 verplichte identificatie en registratie voor honden.
Deze verplichting geldt voor alle honden die na 1 april 2013 geboren zijn en voor honden van alle leeftijden die na 1 april 2013 in Nederland geïmporteerd zijn.
After research on VWD (von Willebrandt Disease) and ENM (Erfelijke Necrotiserende Myelopathie) the Dutch kooikerhondje has been chosen to participate in a research into other inherited diseases. At the moment a research has started into polymyositis and epilepsy (read more), for which a survey is being done with owners of dogs that at the moment or long in the past owned a kooikerhondje that had phenomena that could be associated with these diseases. The VHNK supports this research, and hopes that as many dogowners as possible will respond to this survey.
